Rental Policies
The renter shall:
- Be responsible for its property, equipment, belongings, etc. and will not hold La Troupe du Jour liable should anything be damaged or stolen.
- Be responsible for providing their own decorations and supplies (ie spike tape).
- Be respectful of others in the building, including staff trying to work, by keeping noise to a minimum.
- Hire security for their event, should La Troupe du Jour require it.
- Not smoke anything or use fire (including candles), inside the building. Properly certified smoke machines may be permitted.
- Not use glitter.
- Not screw or nail anything into the Studio 914 floor for any reason. It’s a sprung dance floor and contains in-floor heating.
- Return any keys or FOBS within 24 hours after the event and pay agreed-upon fees promptly.
- Pay all royalties and rights required for their event.
- Leave all rented spaces in a clean and orderly state.
- Only enter rooms included in the rental.
- Abide by all municipal, provincial, and federal regulations applicable to their rental.
- Include La Troupe du Jour’s name and logo (supplied by the Production Centre Coordinator) in any promotional material related to events taking place in the Production Centre including Studio 914.
The renter understands that:
- Unruly or abusive behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Use of La Troupe du Jour’s computers, photocopier, and other office equipment/supplies are not included in the cost of rental (use of the copier/printer will be at an additional cost).
- Breaches of any of these terms may result in termination of this agreement without reimbursement of deposit and in possible denial of further rentals.
La Troupe du Jour reserves the right to:
- Enter any rented space while it is unoccupied, if necessary.
- Rent other areas of the Production Centre simultaneously as long as one event does not disturb the other.
Cancellations:
The renter can cancel up to 21 days prior to the event for a full refund of the deposit. If renter cancels between 7 to 20 days prior to the event, the renter will be refunded 50% of the deposit. For cancellations made within 7 days prior to the event, the renter will forfeit 100% of their deposit.
La Troupe du Jour can terminate this agreement at any time, without incurring any penalties. The renter would then receive a full refund.
If cancellation occurs at any time prior to the event, for reasons beyond the control of the renter and La Troupe du Jour due to act of public authority, war, emergency, riot, epidemic, act of God, neither party will be held responsible and the renter will receive a full refund.
The renter may be subject to the following additional fees:
- $30 per hour for any extra cleaning required.
- 1.5 times the hourly rental rate will be charged if spaces are not vacated by the end time indicated in the agreement.
- Cost of repairs/replacement if the renter or their guests cause any damage to La Troupe du Jour’s property/belongings.
