Michel(le)

By Joey Lespérance
Presented by the Théâtre la Seizième

Our first touring show this year is Michel(le), produced by le Théâtre La Seizième of Vancouver. Written and performed by Joey Lespérance, the play tells the true story of his sibling Michel(le).

As young children, Joey and Michel loved putting on shows and performing for their family and friends. One becomes an actor in Vancouver, the other shines on the drag scene in Montreal before becoming the woman she always felt she was to be.

But can we truly flourish when our identity tragically clashes with the roles that society imposes on us?

Duration approximately 80 minutes, without an intermission.
